CAN’T GET TO THE FARM? LET THE FARM COME TO YOU!

For the 2008 growing season, the Holyoke Council on Aging,
Riverland Farm of Sunderland and Community Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA)
are partnering to bring YOU fresh local food!




• You purchase a share in Riverland Farm’s harvest. beans
• The farmer delivers boxes of fresh, local, organic veggies once a week from June through October to the Holyoke Council on Aging.
• You pick up your weekly share at a convenient downtown location!
• You eat better and support local farmers.
• Only $21/week for enough vegetables to feed 2-4 adults!



What: A wide variety of organic vegetables, always fresh-picked and changing with the season. From crisp salad greens and spinach in the spring, to juicy tomatoes, sweet red peppers and corn in the summer, to bountiful squash, potatoes, and carrots in the fall, each week you will receive an abundant array of produce. Typically, each week’s share
consists of enough vegetables for a family of 2-4 adults.

Where: Shares are distributed at the Holyoke Council on Aging, 310 Appleton Street.

When: Tuesdays, 2-4 PM, early June through October.

How much: The price of a share is $460. This breaks down to $21/week for local, organic, fresh, vegetables delivered directly to Holyoke. Can’t get much better than that!

In addition:
You can sign up for an optional U-pick membership for just a $10 seasonal fee. This will enable you to visit the farm anytime during U-pick hours and pick your own selected crops including strawberries, peas, beans, cherry and sauce tomatoes, and flowers.
U-PICK HOURS START IN JUNE (Daylight hours early June- November).
